The number 1 recruit in the state of Virginia did his thing in his debut for the Fairfax Lions. Only playing for a half as the Lions made light work of Wakefield, Jones still showed why he is worth the price of admission.  In just a half Jones had several big time runs punishing Wakefield defenders. He also was the lead back making pancake blocks leading to numerous Fairfax touchdowns. Should be fun to see how he adjust as the Lions schedule ramps up in a few weeks, if his first game performance is any indication, I think he will be just fine.

Fairfax is coming off one of their best seasons in school history, advancing all the way to the State semi-finals, where they fell to James Madison. How do you replace a player like Tony Rojas (and many more) you bring in arguably the top recruit in the country in Kristopher Jones Kristopher Jones 6'2" | 225 lbs | LB Mountain View | 2024 State VA .  The Georgia Bulldog Commit Jones is a man among boys out their, the Fairfax faithful should be in for a treat.

One of the top overall recruits in the country made his decision a couple weeks ago that Kirby Smart and his championship squad were the right fit for him. With Jones making his commitment and Georgia looking strong for another possible BCS appearance, it begs the question have the Bulldogs overtaken the Crimson Tide?

There are a number of players and schools I cannot wait to watch this Fall and Jones with the Fairfax Lions now ranks up at the top. Just this past weekend Jones was visiting the Florida Gators who are heavily projected to land his services, but as I said before do not count out Georgia and Kirby Smart just yet.  Again Florida according to most sites is heavily projected to land one of the top recruits in all of the state, but something tells me Kirby Smart wants to rebuild his championship defense and he will go all out to nab Jones. Moving past that it is quite impressive to see how Fairfax has come from being bottom feeders in the Patriot conference just a few years ago. Between their state semifinal appearance to having linebackers (Tony Rojas being the other) in back to back years going to major institutions is quite the turnaround.

Newly transferred Kristopher Jones Kristopher Jones 6'2" | 225 lbs | LB Mountain View | 2024 State VA has already made his presence known at Fairfax High School, with his name being recognized by schools across the country. The top ranked linebacker (possibly overall too will see) in Virginia has close to 30 offers already. Many prognosticators seem to think he is favoring Billy Napier and his Florida Gators, but do not be surprised to see the Georgia Bulldogs make one final push. Coming off back to back national titles you know Kirby Smart has a lot of holes to fill on defense and who better than this young man.

In a stunning move that he announced yesterday, Kristopher Jones Kristopher Jones 6'2" | 225 lbs | LB Mountain View | 2024 State VA will be transferring to Fairfax High School for his senior season. The former Mountain View student, made the announcement on his twitter page.  Looks like his family relocated to the area in what was the reasoning behind the move, either way this is a tremendous news for the Rebels. Fairfax is coming off an historic season that had them all the way to the State Semifinals before bowing out to James Madison. With the graduation of Tony Rojas Tony Rojas 6'3" | 205 lbs | WR Fairfax | 2023 State VA , Jones should immediately fill a major need on defense as he is one of if not the best linebacker in the state. Things just got more interesting in District 4, it will be fun to see how everything plays out.
