Miles Sanderson
The Panthers could be a real contender in 2024 with the amount of talent returning, linebacker Miles Sanderson is ready to lead them to the next steps! Racking up 88 tackles with 11 tackles for losses as a sophomore, Sanderson is ready for his close up. Love the way he plays the game with passion and energy on every snap, this is the type of player you build your defense around. Playing at a high level already for Paul VI, Sanderson is 6’2 210 lbs., he is another high riser for our 2026 class. A pitbull off the field too he has a 3.8 GPA and just recently joined 1300 lb. club both impressive feats. Whatever you need in a linebacker this dude has, expect him to lead the WCAC in tackles this fall.
Harry Maltese
Harry Maltese
Harry Maltese is going to be one of the best linebackers in the Patriot District, love the way he sheds blockers to make plays. Very fast on the outside for the Lions this physical specimen will take on any blocker regardless of their size. Maltese is all over the field defensively and figures to have a bigger role at running back for Fairfax as a junior with the graduation of UGA commit Kristopher Jones Kristopher Jones 6’2″ | 225 lbs | LB Mountain View | 2024 State VA . A straight north/south back he could very well lead the league in touchdowns depending how much he is used on that side of the ball. With his size, speed and mobility I really like his chances at the next level, remember his name he is one to lookout for this fall.
Mikhai Martin
Mikhai Martin
A very patient, quick running back is what I see in the tape of Bishop O’Connell’s Mikhai Martin. Earning second team All-WCAC honors a year ago, Martin is set to potentially lead the league in rushing this fall. He is exceptional in the open field in making defenders miss and his vision is impressive too. For the Knights to get back over .500 they would be wise to rely on Martin more, his patience deserves to be awarded. While on tape his speed not pop out to you, the way he can make any defender look foolish in the open field and his nose for the endzone are more than enough.
Frankie D’Amico
Frankie D’Amico
Freedom South-Riding has some nice pieces returning including junior to be center Frankie D’Amico. Starting later in the season D’Amico has the size, frame and movement to really make an impact for the Eagles. His steps and blitz recognition are very good, despite the minimal experience he looks like he belongs in one of the tougher districts in Virginia. One of the more athletic centers I have seen on tape, the young man has good speed and can get to the next level on his blocks. D’Amico is a an accomplished long snapper and can play nose guard for Freedom this year.
