Brown is a highly experienced cover corner who demonstrates the ability to lock down receivers both in man coverage and in zone schemes. Also, a member of the KY Future Stars program, he has competed against high-level talent and developed a strong understanding of route running and offensive tendencies. Brown can cover when left on an island, shows fluid hips, and the speed to stay stride-for-stride with opposing wideouts. This young man also displays great discipline in zone coverage by reading the QB and breaking on the ball. His experience and versatility make him a strong defensive back with the potential to impact the game at a high level.

After watching a ton of football this weekend and digesting everything I saw, it’s clear to me that Region 2 had the most athletic 8th grade team in the BOTR tournament. On the defensive side of the ball, Cornerback King Brown King Brown DB/WR Louisville Trinity | 2030 KY checked the athleticism box for me. He looks to have stretched out a significant amount since I saw him last year, making it even easier for him to blanket Wide Receivers. Brown showed me a lot of guts in the championship game. After having to be helped to the sidelines after a physical tackle in the first quarter, he returned to make a number of nice plays in coverage and against the run.
