Lovelace returns to the Kentucky Future Stars as a versatile athlete who brings experience and playmaking ability to the secondary. A talented two-way player at wide receiver and defensive back, Lovelace will showcase his skills at DB in the matchup with Tennessee. His experience as a receiver gives him a strong understanding of route concepts and helps him anticipate plays, making him a dangerous defender in coverage. With his athleticism, instincts, and ability to make plays on the football, he should be a key contributor for Kentucky’s defense.

play this past March at the KYMSFA Battle of the Regions, I quickly became a fan of his versatility and style of play. Lovelace currently possesses the size to play Safety, but has the coverage skills necessary to blanket Wide Receivers as a Cornerback. At the Battle of the Regions tournament, I saw him line up at CB and shut down the opposing WR’s with relative ease. He was able to run stride for stride with nearly every other Wideout on the field and did a masterful job of using the sideline to his advantage.
