Expert Analysis
Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
A shifty metro-Atlanta back with burst and wiggle, Anderson was banged up for most of his junior season last year, but when healthy, he was a dependable back with quick feet, vision, and playmaking ability. He’s a slippery back who can maneuver his way through holes in the trenches and knows how to make defenders miss in the open field. He’s a sleeper running back to know who could have a really strong senior season this fall if he continues to work hard, stay healthy, and take a step forward in his development over the next several months.

, a running back at Westlake High School. In addition to taking it all the way to the house from the opposite end of the field, Anderson impresses me with his ability to stay on his feet in crucial moments, using his electric speed to stun defenders and break tackles in the pocket. Anderson also stands out with his ability to be versatile at the goal line, diving into the endzone despite being wrapped up by the defense.

is a super exciting athlete out of East Nashville Magnet. He is a quality RB that shows off his explosiveness every time he touches the ball. Good combination of acceleration and speed, he shows nice elusiveness out in space. Excellent balance and body control, Anderson makes big plays on offense and defense with great range to get all around the field.

It wasn’t the best showing for East Nashville on Friday morning but this sophomore running back was a bright spot among the Eagles team as Anderson ran for over 200 yards on the day along with two rushing scores. It was tough for East to move the ball against a stout Tornadoes defense but Anderson was the one guy who was able to find holes in the line and use his speed to get into the open field for big gains. The Eagles underclassmen is a tad undersized but he runs with a lower center of gravity that makes it hard for defenders to deal with. Anderson used his size on Friday to get in between would-be tacklers and find the end zone twice. This kind of performance boosts this sophomore’s stock and makes him someone to follow over the next few months and next Fall for the Eagles.

is a great athlete with an energetic play style at 5-foot-7, 160 pounds out of East Nashville Magnet. He plays both linebacker and running back at a high level. Great trigger to close downhill and plays like a missile to disrupt into the backfield. Good working through the trash, Anderson plays with good physical toughness and athletic ability. In coverage, he feels the flow and understands leverage of routes while showing plus ball skills. Great range and he shows an excellent motor in pursuit.
