It’s hard to write about Ardmore’s potential this season without talking about 2027 quarterback K’Drien Miller K’Drien Miller 5'10" | QB Ardmore | 2027 OK and the experience and overall playmaking ability he brings to the table. Miller was thrown into the fire during his freshman season. That was a freshman season where the Tigers struggled to a 1-9 record. Now, Miller is going to be one of the most experienced players in the state, regardless of class in 2026. He’ll be a four-year starter at the quarterback position and he was a big reason why they made a major jump as a unit last season. Now, we can’t help but wonder what kind of jump Miller and this Ardmore offense will make in 2026 to become a title contender.

The first of several of those three-year starters in the junior class is K’Drien Miller K’Drien Miller 5'10" | QB Ardmore | 2027 OK at the quarterback position. Miller was thrown into the fire during his freshman season in 2023. There were some obvious growing pains but he came back stronger in 2024. He helped lead the Tigers to a winning season and a trip back to the playoffs. Now, he’s going into his third season running the Ardmore offense and we can’t wait to see what kind of jump this unit makes. In 2023, they averaged 12 points per game and last year they jumped up to 22 points per game. Another 10-point jump in the scoring average this fall, led by Miller, would make the Tigers a very interesting team to watch in Class 4A.

Ardmore has moved back to the flexbone option attack after several years in a more wide open offense because of personnel. Sophomore quarterback K’Drien Miller K’Drien Miller 5'10" | QB Ardmore | 2027 OK returns to run the Ardmore offense and he had a successful freshman season. He was one of several freshmen that got thrown into that fire that we mentioned earlier in the preview. He’s come out on the other side and we are very excited to see what kind of growth he’s had this offseason and going into this fall. If he plays with confidence and executes at a high level, he could have this Ardmore offense on the move throughout the season. Having experience back at quarterback definitely helps.
