How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

A certified Head Hunter, a Very Electric player, always having high energy, and Great anticipation every play.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Hit as hard as possible, remember to play smart, be confident at all times, and keep a positive mindset even during lows in the game.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

A part of "New Wave Performance" football training led by John Larkin.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Having a team mindset, being patient with older people and younger people on my team and in my community, and yelling won’t solve things or prove that you're right about anything.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Lots of Shoulder injuries, a few leg injuries, and went through self-doubt because of height and lack of exposure.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a college that keeps me productive and has a great community with which to build relationships!

Another CR metro leader from last season, senior linebacker Kayden James Kayden James Kayden James 5'11" | 215 lbs | LB/RB Cedar Rapids Jefferson | 2026 State IA totaled 73 tackles last season to finish fourth in all of Class 4A. He did so in just seven games. If James can stay healthy for the entirety of the season, he’ll have a shot at over 100 tackles this fall, and he’ll look to add to his 11.5 tackles-for-loss.

James is the clear leader of the Jefferson defense, and standing at a stout 5’11” and 215 pounds, he would be an excellent fit at a D1 walk-on or scholarship athlete in D2 or NAIA.
