‘s frame and athleticism are enough to get him a spot on a Division I roster as a receiver. Back from an injury he suffered part way through his junior year of high school, Nyenow looks like he’s back to his old self, if not better.
Targeted on a few deep shots that he wasn’t able to come up with on Friday night, Nyenow still finished the game with four receptions for 34 yards, and if he gets some good coaching at the next level, he’ll have an opportunity to be an impact X-receiver sooner rather than later.

is a true X-receiver that can and does catch anything thrown his way within a several-foot radius. With strong hands, long strides, sharp routes and some legitimate athleticism, Nyenow is hoping for a full healthy season after going down with an injury seven games into his junior campaign. Even so, Nyenow finished with 37 catches for 724 yards and seven touchdowns as Benda’s go-to target.
With offers from Northern Iowa and Lindenwood, Nyenow is on the fringes of earning preferred walk-on offers from Power 4 programs, and even if they don’t come knocking, UNI and any other program at the FCS or Group of 5 levels would be lucky to land him.

Possibly one of the more under-recruited receivers in the state,

is fresh off a seven-and-a-half game breakout season for the J-Hawks, where he posted 37 catches for 724 yards and seven touchdowns.
A big-bodied receiver that can make tough catches and can out-athlete most defensive backs in Iowa, Nyenow projects to the D1 level with offers from UNI and Lindenwood, but is still being overlooked by other regional FCS schools.
His ball-skills are among the best in the state, and though he doesn’t have elite top-end speed, Nyenow is a prototypical X receiver or tight end size and won’t be overlooked by opponents this fall.

. on film, it’s easy to walk away thinking “that’s different.” Nyenow is a big-bodied wideout that can get open down the field, make some ridiculous catches (nabbed a deep ball out of the air despite triple-coverage in the first clip of his Hudl, attached below).
He’s not super quick off the ball and some of his catches are wide open, but the numbers speak for themselves with a prospect like Nyenow. In just seven-and-a-half games played last season, he finished as the team’s leading receiver far and away, putting together 37 catches for 724 yards and seven touchdowns.
At this point, Nyenow holds offers from UNI, Lindenwood, Minnesota State and Upper Iowa.
His ball-skills are flat-out impressive, and anyone who gets his commitment should be thrilled with what they’re getting. He could play receiver or tight end at the next level.

Nyenow Jr. torched defenses to the tune of 37 catches for 724 yards (19.6 YPC) and seven touchdowns, all of which led the J-Hawks. Those numbers happened in just seven and a half contests. He also helped on defense, where he picked off a pass, and in the return game. Nyenow Jr. would be a special teams asset on the next level with his speed, athleticism and frame. During his junior highlight video, we witness a dynamic wideout capable of beating opponents in multiple ways. He can run by guys, go over top of them and burn them deep. Nyenow’s strength also helps in in catching passes and as a blocker. He’s reported scholarship offers from Northern Iowa, Lindenwood, Upper Iowa and Minnesota State. More schools could come calling with a big senior season.

. into becoming a star in Class 5A last season. Nyenow finished with 724 yards on 37 catches and 7 touchdowns last season. Nyenow has been involved in the starting lineup since his freshman year, and he’s just gotten so much better as each year has gone along. Nyenow is an athlete with a great mix of speed, agility, and long strides that make him difficult to stop once he gets ahead of the secondary. Nyenow will look to finish off his tenure with the J-Hawks by bringing them to a playoff appearance for the first time since 2015.

Nyenow’s junior season was limited to 7 1/2 games. As you can witness while watching his highlight video, he inflicted plenty of damage on opponents when he was on the field. He hauled in 37 balls for 724 yards (19.6 YPC) and seven touchdowns. Nyenow Jr. is an exciting mix of size, speed and athleticism on the outside. The first clip on his tape shows him high-pointing a ball to take it over two defenders. He races by his slower opponents for an 86-yard touchdown jaunt on Play 2. Lindenwood looks real smart right now as the only D-I to offer. Come on, man. Look at the film.
