Lewis Central has a history of developing college prospects in the trenches. While the footage of Gard is limited on his Hudl page, what’s there provides evidence of a prospect for the next level. The sophomore operated from the left tackle spot and stood out most for his excellence in the run game. On the available clips, Gard continuously drives his opponent down the field. Often times that’s by going straight through him with power and strong hands. He also can pick off defenders in space with mobility and agility. The latter helps him in pass protection, where he sets up well and is light on his feet.
