Uprep’s certified speedster Juelz has had a interesting recruitment so far. With the necessary D1 speed and explosiveness you would expect Russell to hold over 10 offers at this point in time. Nevertheless though some schools have been wise enough to see the potential and Mercyhurst offered Russell after he attended the Kent State Mega Camp and impressed. Then came the Syracuse PWO offer in July for Russell and I expect more FCS schools in the northeast to offer this fall during his senior season.

When it comes to football/track stars in Upstate NY you have to start with the U aka UPREP’s Juelz Russell Juelz Russell 5'11" | 170 lbs | WR University Prep | 2024 State NY who recently clocked a PB of 10.88 in the 100m to finish 2nd at the Section V  Class B1 Sectional Championships. Already boasted a 4.5 laser forty which he ran last camp season at UCONN Mega Camp. He’s run sub 11 two times this spring track season. Russell also competes in the 200m where he clocked sub 23 seconds three times this season with a personal best of 22.25. Also has run. 6.48 in indoor track in the 55m dash. Strong athletic profile that should test extremely well at camps this summer. It’s still baffling he hasn’t picked up moderate to heavy G5 interest already.  Although, if all goes well for Russell this summer expect more northeast FCS and northeast Group of 5 schools to show interest.

Juelz Russell Juelz Russell 5'11" | 170 lbs | WR University Prep | 2024 State NY is a top playmaker to know in the state and he has the speed that truly wows you on tape. Russell is a rally twitchy quick player and in open space is very dangerous. He can be that sort of gadget player on offense who can play in multiple alignments in get the ball in multiple ways. The speed is legit and the open field ability is really strong. Russell is a top FCS player in this class and should be in store for a big season.

Juelz Russell Juelz Russell 5'11" | 170 lbs | WR University Prep | 2024 State NY , one of the fastest players in the entire state picked up his first offer from the University of Maine. Maine has a presence in Western New York and especially in Rochester where Russell plays for UPrep.

The speedy WR in Juelz Russell from University Prep Rochester truly is a tough football player. A tough player to not only catch the ball in traffic but to break tackles on a consistent bias. He stands in at 5’11” and weighs 170-pounds, but runs with a lot of force with the ball in his hands. In addition to WR, he can play CB and Kicker as well. 

This is a WR that has a very clean ability to get in and out of breaks at a quick rate because of how fluid Russell’s hips are. When running routes he has that sudden quick burst to change directions in a flash. Defenders were always caught staying on their toes against him.

Russell is a player that makes plays deep down the field and puts points on the board because of his large YAC ability. Plenty of times he was able to break defenders down in space with a simple cut which then allowed him to gain extra yardage. This was a WR that was able to work all areas of the field coming out of the slot, and is a true deep threat on the outside. 

Russell has amazing body control to toe tap near the sidelines when making tremendous catches. Plenty of times, he was used on jet sweeps, in the backfield on wheel routes, or on simple out routes when getting set in motion into the backfield. This simply is a dangerous player with the ball in his hands that has goals of winning player of the year and making AGR.
