Continue ReadingThe talented East High star held a commitment in front of the mural where his brother passed away at. And how fitting that Diaz gave his verbal pledge Army. Diaz gives Army a unique versatile player who can be an asset in all three phases of the game and has more than enough athleticism to turn into a star player at Army. First up though is Anthony’s senior season and with his commitment out the way he’ll be able to focus on making even more big plays that have made him a known commodity in Section V football.

Uprep’s certified speedster Juelz has had a interesting recruitment so far. With the necessary D1 speed and explosiveness you would expect Russell to hold over 10 offers at this point in time. Nevertheless though some schools have been wise enough to see the potential and Mercyhurst offered Russell after he attended the Kent State Mega Camp and impressed. Then came the Syracuse PWO offer in July for Russell and I expect more FCS schools in the northeast to offer this fall during his senior season.

Another one of East High’s talented 2024’s athlete Ervin Wiggins Ervin Wiggins 5’9″ | 175 lbs | DB East | 2024 State NY has finally picked up his second D1 offer after holding a Georgia Southern offer since last summer. And several days ago Wiggins picked up another D1 offer from UAlbany after having a stellar camp. Wiggins who plays LB in high school but projects as a DB at the collegiate level has the physicality and quickness to play nickel and help out against the run should find himself with more offers come this fall.
The one they call Hurricane from Long Island Lutheran picked up an offer from D1 FCS LIU back on July 23rd. Butler will have more suitors coming his way soon enough and I expect him to rack up several more during the 2023 season and next spring and summer as well. Arguably one of the top play makers in the state for the class of 2026 and should prove to be one of the best play makers regardless of class come fall ’23.

CBA-Syracuse’s athlete and former Syracuse University verbal, who de-committed from the Orange and committed to Michigan State after being offered in late spring has picked up another offer and this time from the Spartans main rival the University of Michigan on July 31st. Does Syair open back up his recruitment? Time will tell but I expect Syair to stay in the Big 10 conference either way.

Rowan Byrne Rowan Byrne 6’5″ | 290 lbs | OL Iona Prep | 2025 State NY is a big guy and and Iona Prep is very lucky to have him. After racking up offers from the likes of Texas A&M, Michigan, Notre Dame and Florida in June. The 6’6″ 296 pound offensive tackle picked up offers from Ohio State and Michigan State in the month of July. With Byrne’s incredible size you can bet there will be more suitors offering soon.
