Elerts had a breakout senior season for one of the top teams in the section and did it all in his first year as a running back. He rushed for nearly 1,000 yards and 7 touchdowns in 6 games and was a two-way star for the Dons. He is a big and physical athlete that moves well for his size, has downfield speed/contact balance and is a tough/bruising runner. Due to his length, size and versatility he could find his home as a outside linebacker in college as he can rush the passer and has plus coverage abilities if needed.
