6’0, 215 pounds. A wrestler. A National Honor Society member boasting an unreal GPA (5.33/6.0). Johnson had a spectacular game against elite competition while I was in attendance, this coming against stud OL stationed at Neumann-Goretti a couple of weeks back.

Just under a week has past since Johnson’s official wrestling offer via King’s College. Trine Football saved a roster spot for Johnson just a couple of days prior. There’s no doubt Johnson’s tape, grades, and multi-sport prowess will earn him opportunities at the Division 3 level. Johnson is due for a rankings boost, we’ll see if he can earn substantial attention from local PSAC programs.

Joseph Johnson Joseph Johnson 6'0" | 205 lbs | DL Archbishop Wood | 2025 State PA had an unreal game against Neumann-Goretti. You wouldn’t expect a 6’0, 215-pound defensive lineman to tear through a star-studded Neumann line that deploys several 6’3+ prospects. That’s why you play the game, however.

Johnson recorded at least 2.5 sacks in this one, not sure if local media picked this up. Robbins on one side, Johnson working inside and out on the other. 52’s number kept flashing time and time again. Johnson recorded two pressures outside of the 2 sacks registered, his presence was especially felt. Johnson is a wrestler at Wood, he’s a NHS student, on the student council, and carries a 5.33 GPA. More games likes the one he had this past weekend and he’s going to fly up our boards. Great motor and energy too.
