is the star in the River Kings offense. Given opportunities to get yards after catch or find himself open in the endzone, Gruhn is the player for Clinton they go to when they need a big play.
Well, he’s actually the star all over the field for Clinton.
An athletic prospect with a frame that affords him the opportunities to be positionally versatile, Gruhn’s 6-foot-3 and 220-pound size allows him to play not only tight end on offense, but linebacker and defensive end on defense, too.
He holds offers from Sioux Falls and Northern State.
Gruhn missed the first half of his junior season of 2025 with an ankle injury. He did make up for lost time upon his return. Gruhn recorded 26.5 tackles, 13 of which were solo stops. He was credited with four tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. Clinton utilized Gruhn as a ball carrier and receiver on offense, where he caught a touchdown pass. He flashed his athleticism by bringing back his lone kick return back 16 yards. Prep Redzone Iowa hadn’t written an evaluation of Gruhn in nine months, so it’s an excellent time for an update. He was kind enough to post an 11th-grade highlight video for us to do so. On the first clip, Gruhn shows his talents as a route runner. The tight end releases from the H-Back spot and presents himself for the quarterback. He catches a pass moving toward the end zone and finishes off the scoring reception by powering across the goal line. There’s definitely next-level potential on offense. Right now, at least, he looks more advanced as a long-arm linebacker with explosiveness, athleticism and agility to handle responsibilities as a four-down player on the second level.

led the offense in receiving yards last season after recording 26 receptions, 279 yards, and four receiving touchdowns. Gruhn, like Belitz, fits that flex TE role who can line up in-line, in the slot, outside, and practically anywhere. He does a good job slipping past coverage to find the small pockets in the defense. Gruhn’s concentration was also impressive, as he made a few tough catches with defenders in his face. Jordan has been busy this offseason, bulking up to 205 pounds while standing at 6’3″. Big-time riser potential!

is an intriguing pass-catcher who looks like he could be a flex TE/WR at the next level. As a sophomore, Jordan caught 26 receptions for 279 yards and four receiving touchdowns. My biggest takeaway from watching Jordan’s tape was how versatile he is as a receiver, showing that he’s comfortable lining up anywhere across the formation and has the size to matchup well with most defenders. His ability to be moved inside or outside allows him to attack all levels of the field, displaying that he can be a deep-threat, jump ball receiver who can stretch the field and be a reliable target going over the middle of the field. Gruhn does a good job finding and filling in the empty pockets in the coverage and makes himself readily available for his QB. He’s strong at the catch point and has the athleticism to adjust to the ball.
