Clinton junior Cooper Belitz Cooper Belitz 6'2" | 205 lbs | TE Clinton | 2027 State IA is a sleeper prospect at the position, who may not have the “flashy” measurables, but can flat-out get after it on the field. Cooper was the River King’s leading receiver with 18 receptions for 204 yards and a touchdown during his junior season. After reviewing Cooper’s junior tape, I was impressed by his athleticism and playmaking ability after the catch, where he does a great job securing the ball at the catch point and quickly turns upfield to tack on additional yardage. He braces for contact very well and maintains strong balance, keeping him upright during tackle attempts. Willing blocker who can effectively seal off the edge in the run game.

Clinton’s Cooper Belitz Cooper Belitz 6'2" | 205 lbs | TE Clinton | 2027 State IA is a versatile pass catcher who can fit the flex TE role with his ability to play across the offensive formation. Belitz is a solid pass catcher who does a good job tracking the pass and is a very consistent “hands” receiver when the ball gets to him. Belitz showed the ability to find the soft spots in the coverage and exploit them to give his QB an open target. Cooper is very effective when attacking the short and intermediate areas of the field, where his athleticism gives him the edge over slower linebackers and smaller safeties. Expect Cooper to build on his numbers from last season after posting 19 receptions, 204 yards, and four receiving touchdowns. Under the radar prospect with a high ceiling!

Clinton’s Cooper Belitz is a versatile pass catcher who could receive looks at receiver or tight end, depending on his development in the upcoming seasons. Cooper Belitz‘s bigger frame at 6’2″ and 205 pounds allows him to create mismatches, using his size to out-muscle DBs and the quickness to create separation against slower LBs. He does a good job of finding and exploiting empty pockets in coverage to give his QB an open target over the middle of the field and help move the chains. Strong hands and good concentration make him reliable at the catch point. Belitz ended his sophomore season with 19 receptions for 204 yards and four receiving touchdowns. Watch out for Cooper in 2025!
