Jon Sassic Jon Sassic 6'6" | 285 lbs | OL Central Catholic | 2027 State PA is a talented offensive lineman who has the size (6’6″) and strength to excel at the next level. He has excellent technique and fundamentals. His stance and start are excellent, and then he explodes off it and destroys defensive linemen. His strength is apparent in the way he mauls defensive players in the run game. Sassic has picked up offers from West Virginia and Pittsburgh recently. I expect more offers to come his way.

The second 6’6 bookend tackle holding down the offensive line unit at Central Catholic. 6’6, 290 pounds. Is an interchangeable tackle much like Kalis, both Sassic and Kalis can align at right or left tackle. Both have experience at guard too, unfair to have players of this caliber also be position versatile. Currently ranked as the 7th-best tackle prospect, I fully intend on moving him into the top 25, Sassic currently sits 8 spots away from that pedestal. 3.7 GPA, an offer out of Toledo, it being his first (October 26th). A bit surprised more schools haven’t pulled the trigger on this kid. If Power Fours want to hold off, that’s one thing, he should have more MAC schools clamoring for early positioning.

It’s obvious that Sassic’s future is at tackle, 6’6 behemoths don’t grow on trees, even at Pittsburgh Central Catholic. What’s interesting to know is that Central Catholic has no problem deploying both Kalis and Sassic on one side of the center. If my memory holds true, Sassic aligned adjacent to Kalis, manning the left guard spot. Sassic looked impressive in pass protection. I witnessed the sophomore linemen shock his head-up match up at the snap, work off of that match up to pick up an incoming blitzer, blocking both on a pass play that would lead to a TD. Impressive stuff. He has his fair share of pancake blocks too. In my eyes, the Central Catholic offense runs through the success Kalis and Sassic put forth. Anyone looking to beat this football team will have to force these two to have bad days. Good luck attempting this.

Jon Sassic Jon Sassic 6'6" | 285 lbs | OL Central Catholic | 2027 State PA is a talented offensive lineman for Pittsburgh Central Catholic. He is playing guard for them this year, but he could play as an offensive tackle as well. He does a good job of firing off the ball and blocking defensive players. He shows good strength at the point of the attack and moves his feet well. Then, he drives defenders off the ball well in the run game. Sassic is a good player who should continue to get better this season.

Here is a huge 2027 OT prospect out of Pittsburgh Central Catholic. The 6’6 | 295 lb Tackle has drawn lots of interest from big-time programs this spring. So far this spring Sassic has visited Notre Dame, Michigan State, and Penn State. I wouldn’t be surprised if a program decided to pull the trigger on offering Jon. There’s still more work to be done for Sassic, but at the rate he is going, he can truly develop into a big-time recruit.

Jon Sassic Jon Sassic 6'6" | 285 lbs | OL Central Catholic | 2027 State PA has the potential to be a great offensive lineman. He has great size to play offensive line. He also has good strength and athleticism as well. This is what I wrote about him from before:
