Jon wraps up a productive career at Germantown. He has been a reliable force in the middle for a few seasons flying around from tackle to tackle. The senior has developed the ability to play through traffic while staying clean. That has been key to his success because he is on the smaller side for the position. When it comes to tackling his frame has never been an issue. The senior is violent, closing quickly and ends plays in a hurry. The D3 programs in the state should definitely take a look at the senior.

I don’t know what it is about Germantown LBs, but they have a knack for being devastating tacklers. Jon Murkowski Jon Murkowski 5'11" | 190 lbs | LB/DB Germantown | 2026 State WI ‘s highlights show a kid that is going to run through every tackle attempt. That leads to him driving his man backwards or putting them quickly into the dirt with force. The hard-hitting 2026 also brings range to blitz from the off-ball OLB position and still be able to chase down plays from behind. The lateral agility to avoid blockers on the edge also shines throughout his junior highlights. While he may be undersized, Jon plays with a strong base of athleticism/power. Keep an eye on this one.

Coming off a 1st Team All Conference junior season, Jon came out to continue to verify that he is a name to know this offseason and next season. The 5’11” 185 lbs LB was another strong tester with his 4.87 40 yard dash, 4.46 shuttle, 7.38 L-Drill and 8’10” broad jump. No question, the junior is an explosive athlete that wins with that burst and suddenness as he flies around the front seven. Jon is an LB that is able to attack and close by the time the RB hits the line of scrimmage. Out in space the 2026 is an efficient mover who trusts his own agility to be able to match up 1 vs 1 on RBs. I love the way this kid attacks line a heat seeking missile both at the showcase and on tape.
