Stats: 8 Receptions, 90 Yards
First of all, congratulations to Christian for setting the school record for receptions in his final game of his career. It was a heck of a career, showing off how well he can provide a reliable target for his QB. The bigger WR does a great job of using that size to win in the quick passing game. We saw that on display often Friday night. Getting him the ball on quick routes so he could easily box out a DB and then run hard to gain extra yards as DBs swarmed to gang tackle him. The senior also showed off some strong body control along the sideline and was the one to step up and make some clutch receptions to keep drives alive. The senior is uncommitted and one of the top WRs available in WI. Get on him.

One of my favorite athletes to watch in this Class is the Germantown WR. He had a ton of strong reps once we started slinging the ball around. The 6’2″ 190 lbs athlete was giving DBs fits with his route running. Even with his big frame, Christian was consistently getting open with ability to start/stop, get in and out of breaks, and also set up a DB with stutter steps and head fakes. The big target also does well coming to the ball and snagging it out of the air with strong hands, leaving very little room for a DB to make a play on the football. Christian did a great job of showing that he can win with power or his athleticism/route running. It was a great day for the Germantown standout.

Christian is built very similarly to a lot of WRs that we have seen the D2 level and higher pursue here in WI. He is a strong 6’2″ 190 lbs and athleticism paired with that size is the difference maker that is going to grab the attention of the collegiate level. Christian is a smooth athlete, especially at his size. The junior is able to run a well rounded route tree, from simple go routes to double moves, to attacking over the middle on a variety of routes. The standout junior also displays an effective release package at the snap of the ball. Most importantly, Christian has hands his QB can trust and he is a playmaker who finds ways to create fireworks with his touches.

On the receiving end of those Vinny Inga passes will be a few options, but leading the way is the rising junior prospect

. Griffin has a fantastic frame for an outside WR at 6’3″ 190 lbs. He has excellent body control that allows him to position himself so he can protect the ball, or adjust to the ball while it is in flight. Christian has very strong hands to make the catch in traffic and hang on through contact. The junior has 26 catches on the year for 366 yards, and 5 TDs. Germantown needs him to be that physical mismatch in Level 1.

Christian is developing into an impressive WR prospect with a well-rounded game. He can play the part of a possession receiver with his big, strong frame. He can run the short-intermediate routes and use his size to create separation and show his strong hands through catches in traffic. Plus Christian will run hard after the catch and be a tough tackle in the open field. Griffin also offers the ability to take the top off the defense. His speed and long strides can get him behind the defense quickly and he has the ball skills to easily run underneath those deep shots. Christian is quickly becoming an impressive outside receiver recruit. Size, strength, hands, and speed are all coming together in one solid playmaker. Check out the highlights.

. While Griffin himself posted 19/253/3 in 2023 we saw the WR1 get a slew of targets leading to a highly productive season. While the QB from 2023 has graduated, look for the offense to try and remain the same as they plug in the next man up. At WR the next man up is Christian. A WR who is built similar to last year’s WR1 at Germantown. Christian is a long WR who can be a mismatch in the redzone and reel in catches over the top of DBs. 11 TDs graduated this summer in the receiving game. If Griffin can pick up that slack we could see him have his breakout season.

Griffin is a bigger body wide receiver who measured in at 6’1, 185 lbs. He’s a sophomore who boasts a great frame and has athleticism that makes him difficult to cover. Even though he was one of the younger players at the camp, the Germantown wide out wasn’t shy when it came to taking reps. And when Griffin had his number called during the best-on-best portion of the camp, Griffin stood tall and won his matchup. As he continues to grow and develop, Griffin is a name worth keeping an eye on over the course of the next 2 seasons.

The door is wide open for Christian to make the jump to varsity in 2023. Four of the top five leading receivers for Germantown in 2022 graduate. The void is there to be filled. The 6’2″ 175 lbs WR looks next up. The long target uses that length to give his QB a big target area. Christian has soft hands that allows him to go get the ball at it’s highest point. He is also showing the early signs of impressive body control. Christian is able to twist, turn or contort his body to be able to get his hands on the ball. We could see a big jump from him physically this fall. Not just impact-wise.
