Alex and the Germantown defense didn’t face much from the passing attack Friday night as MG kept it on the ground a lot, but I had to include a shoutout to Alex when it comes to top recruits in this game. Seeing Alex in person made me even more of a fan. He is such a long DB who can get hands on at the line of scrimmage without getting out of position or overextending. Plus he has the pure athleticism to be able to turn and run with WRs. The senior is a kid you can trust out in space to step up and make a tackle too. Alex looks the part of a college DB and needs more eyes on him.
I have a good feeling that that Alex is going to be impressing a lot of people this summer. He is coming off a season where he had a lot of reps in man coverage, showing that he could run with WRs deep downfield and also react instantly to route breaks and accelerate through them with the receiver. That ability to stay tight in coverage throughout the route will jump out from the crowd at camps. Alex’s quick twitch agility and overall reactive athleticism are going to have the perfect stage to shine. I also recommend going to the tape to watch how physical he is as well. The junior has no fear when it comes to tackling and will not hesitate to drop the hammer on a skill player out in space. I’m confident we will see Alex prove to be a Top 10 type of DB this summer.

. The 5’11” 170 lbs junior has a 6’1″ wingspan and 10.5″ hands. Alex absolutely smashed the shuttle and L-Drill, showing off elite acceleration, body control, quick feet, and change of direction. In the shuttle Alex ran a 4.31 and 4.25. In the L-Drill Alex ran 7.06 and 7.03. Numbers that suggest the 2026 should be dominant at DB. Both in those tests, and on the field it was so obvious how effortless it is for Alex to be able to move. Whether it be transition out of a backpedal, flip his hips and run downfield, or instantly react to a route break and close on the receiver through the break. Reinke is definitely a name to know for CBs in the Class of 2026.
Alex was a key contributor towards Germantown’s shutout Week 2 victory, and he looked impressive throughout his highlights. The junior CB is very aggressive at the catch point and that led to multiple broken up passes. In his off coverage, the junior did a great job of reading the receiver and the QB then instantly accelerating to close on the pass. The junior both showed great hand placement to breakup passes and hard hitting tackling to break up passes. Having reliable tackling out in space is a big time bonus for defenses and Alex gives Germantown that alongside being an effective zone corner. Check out his highlights and keep this kid on your radars.
