Jojo Johnson seems to picking up a new offer every day, he is up now up to 7 altogether. The latest coming two days ago from the University of Massachusetts for the top ranked athlete. Playing for Benedictine Preparatory Johnson was a a second team All VISAA selection a year ago. He certainly has helped his stock and should see a big rankings boost.

JoJo is an explosive play waiting to happen anytime he touches the ball. When a play is needed, JoJo is who Benedictine looks to. I covered him in the offseason highlighting his good route running and athleticism that you will want to read here. These have been on display this season. He is also playing safety on defense this year. Safe to say he was a great addition to Benedictine this season after transferring in from Goochland.

Jojo has very good height at the WR position and is a big play threat for Goochland’s offense. He has good athleticism displaying good speed, acceleration, agility, and change of direction. Can play outside WR and has good release into his route, quickly accelerating to the top of his route with good change of direction and foot quickness to make a break to create separation. Good ability to catch in traffic and quickly turn himself into a runner. He displays good agility and speed to evade defenders to create yards after the catch. As a linebacker, he can be utilized as a run stuffer coming downhill and can be utilized in man and zone coverage on slot WRs. His speed allows him to track down runners trying to get an edge, and he is a sure tackler. Be sure to keep Jojo on your radar over the next couple of seasons.
