If St. Michael plans to run up the middle, they are going to have to go through Yeshua. Yeshua’s size of 6’1″ 300 lbs jumps out right away as he is larger than most anyone he will face. However, his athleticism sticks out as well. He displays a quick first step and has good use of hands to engage offensive linemen and create leverage. His strength allows him to penetrate and collapse the pocket on pass rush, and he is a stout run defender. Be on the lookout for Yeshua this week.

Playing out of the VISAA Benedictine Yeshua Matala-Tala is a state champion and all conference defensive lineman, he is eager for more. He is athletic enough to play tackle or end for the Cadets, but I enjoy most when they line him at nose guard. His handwork is excellent and his grown man strength cannot be ignored, particularly when he is bench pressing his double team blockers out of his way.
