Continue ReadingMy Twitter DMs continue to come in, and in this article I continue with with my Twitter Film Analysis where I feature players class of ’25 and ’26 prospects who have reached out or followed me, as well as some that I notice getting attention on Twitter. I continue to be impressed with the players I watch and look forward to featuring more in the future.
Good height and solid size with good balance, bend, and lateral movement. Comes off the line with good pad level, and has good vision and reaction in his run/pass reads. He has good use of hands and strength to engage offensive linemen and keep them out of his chest and displays good lateral movement to make plays across the line of scrimmage with good pursuit to take down the ball carrier. He fits well in Monticello’s 30-front scheme as a defensive end and should be very productive for them in his senior season.

Shows solid range on the field in Zone coverage and in pursuit of outside runs. He displays good point strength and explosiveness that allows him to take on offensive linemen and shed the block. He is a sure tackler and does not shy away from making a big hit on the ball carrier.

Jaycob is a true ATH who can play multiple roles as QB, WR, DB, and Return Specialist, and projects to be a WR or DB at the next level. Shows good athletic traits of foot quickness, lateral agility, and change of direction. He plays QB for his team, but in his limited receiving film he displays good adjustment to passes with good hands to secure the catch in traffic, and his designed running plays at QB show that he will be a threat after the catch as a ball carrier utilizing his good athletic traits to break tackles. Good processing and reaction as a DB with good ball skills and timing to disrupt passes. He plays with physicality, is good in run support, and can be counted on to make an open-field tackle. Shows good range at safety, able to run down ball carriers who make it past the third level. He has a very good competitive motor and will play through the whistle on every play to support his teammates. He was named 2nd Team All-District as an All-Purpose player and DB. Expect Jaycob to be a key feature to Craig County’s team in his senior season.

Very good processing and anticipation as a defensive back. He has the ability to play as a deep safety, box safety, and nickelback. His very good processing allows him to quickly diagnose his run/pass reads, jump routes to force turnovers, and be in a position to make a play on the ball. Shows good strength and physical toughness as a tackler and can be trusted to make a tackle in the open field. The best part is that he just completed his sophomore season and has two more years to grow and develop.
