Niedringhaus is uncommitted and needs to be a player getting recruited immediately. He is a dawg and has tremendous get off, closing the gap and putting relentless pressure on the QB. He has a knack for creating chaos in the back field and once you are in his grasp there is no getting away. He is constantly winning one on one matchups and forces teams to slide the protection his way. He is a D1 talent and would be a steal for any team still looking for help on the defensive line.

Niedringhaus showed why he’s one of the top interior defensive linemen in the state. The 6’3 220-pound defensive end demolished Regis Jesuit. Wracking up 11 total tackles, 4 TFL, 2.5 sacks, 1 QB hurry, 2 FF, 1 FR. Niedringhaus has very good strength. He throws the offensive line around with ease. He even threw one on the ground with one hand! When he was double blocked, it didn’t matter, he still made the plays. He starts with a low pad level, initiating contact first. He has very good hand placement and hand strength needed to control and steer the OL away. Niedringhaus has a very good bull rush. Knocks the OL on their feet. When he was lined up on the edge, he has a very good bend around the edge. John was consistently in the backfield wreaking havoc on the quarterback. With stripped sacks, and hurries, Niedringhaus showed how valuable he is on the defensive line. Colleges NEED to look at this kid. He is a gamebreaker, and has been doing it all year. I can easily see him starting in D1.

Niedringhaus was a tackling machine this past weekend against Columbine. The 6’3 220-pound interior defensive lineman had a total of 16 tackles (1 solo, 15 assisted), and 4 TFL. Niedringhaus has good athletic ability due to good acceleration, solid change of direction and speed. John has very good strength, and that is shown right when you throw on the tape. He starts with a good initial quickness out of his stance. Creating contact first, he uses a low pad level and good hand placement to move the OL. He also uses his powerful legs to drive through the offensive line and double blocks. His competitive toughness was on full display. He was continuously helping teammates finish tackles. He wasn’t being a lone ranger, instead helping where he was needed for the betterment of the team. Niedringhaus does the dirty work that is needed from the DL, watch out for him!
