I currently have Coleman listed as an RB, but the reality is he’s arguably the best 2-way player in the state. He’s a top player and target with elite athleticism. As a junior, he put up 888 rushing yards, 8 TDs, 29 receptions for 253 yards with 2 TDs, and then defensively added 122 tackles, 12 TFLs, 3 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, and 2 passes deflected defensively. Coleman is a stud and if he continues to develop could be special.
Coleman is one of the state’s most sound players and has been at the top of his class since they entered high school. He’s incredibly versatile and has a good head on his shoulders. Carrying the ball or playing DB, Coleman has all the skills to be good at the next level. I like where he’s at development-wise and think he’s got multiple potential avenues to take moving forward.
Coleman leads the Sparkplugs’ rushing attack. He has a great frame and plenty of room to grow, he is a very physical runner who likes contact. He also displays good hands and is effective in space but is better between the tackles. He is also a solid kickoff returner and good straight-line runner, and is a top-notch person with great character.
Coleman has been towards the very top of the 2026 rankings since they first came out and it’s all starting to pay off. Not only did he go nuclear this past Friday, but he’s developing physically as well. He rushed for 266 yards and 3 TDs and then added 51 yards and a TD through the air. He’s one of the most complete prospects in the class and whoever lands him is going to get a stud.
Coleman is an overall fantastic player who has been a great addition since his freshman year. He’s only continuing to improve, develop, and become a leader for that Speedway program. He’s primarily a DB and should have a bright future back there, but this past fall they wanted to get him involved on offense so he began to carry the rock. He’s incredibly talented and much deserving of the #1 spot at the moment.
