It wouldn’t shock me if we are talking about Scott – who committed to Army – someday in the annual Army-Navy game when he is making tackle after tackle on national TV. Scott is a strong outside linebacker, very good against the run and a great pass rusher with top-shelf size, speed and instincts. Army got a steal.

Scott is a big, physical linebacker who’s built his frame up the right way. He had a good junior season with 40 total tackles, 6.5 TFLs, 2.5 sacks, and 15 quarterback hurries. He showed he can create pressure and make plays near the line of scrimmage. He hits with authority, reads the run well, and plays best when he’s coming downhill. He’ll be the one anchoring the middle of the defense this fall, and with his size and physicality, he’s set up to lead the way.

Scott is a versatile player who can do a bit of everything. At 6’2″ and 215, he’s got the size to be a factor near the line of scrimmage but still moves like a DB, which is rare for a guy his size. His athleticism stands out, and he’s got a fluidity to his game that makes him a problem for blockers. With 40 tackles, 7 TFLs, and 3 sacks on the year, he’s proven he can be disruptive in both the run and pass game. He’s also in on plays when it matters, with a deflected pass and a fumble recovery to his name. Scott’s got a lot of tools in his kit, and the ceiling is there to take his game even higher.

Teaming with Bertram, Scott gives the Giants a great one-two punch at the linebacker position. Like Betram, Scott has good size, strength, and arm length. He’s an aggressive tackler and has some thump as a downhill run defender. He is an absolute key cog in the Giants’ defense.
