To wrap up our top five running backs in the class of 2026 in the state of Kentucky, I have Jay’Quan Crawford Jay’Quan Crawford 6'1" | 200 lbs | RB Lakota West | 2026 KY . In seven games as a senior, Crawford carried the ball 91 times for 539 yards and five touchdowns. He is a downhill runner, showing the ability to hit the running lane quickly then use his speed to pick up big gains. Crawford has also shown impressive contact balance, showing the ability to break tackles with ease without losing stride. He also caught one touchdown pass this season. Crawford currently holds offers from Toledo, Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Michigan, and Kent State, and I believe he has the potential to develop into a productive ball carrier wherever he ends up playing at the next level.

. As a junior at Franklin County, Crawford split carries but was impressive when on the field, especially as a short yardage/red zone back. He is a downhill runner who hits the running lane with a sense of urgency and does a great job of running his legs through contact to pick up extra yards, often carrying a pile of defenders with him. Crawford has also shown the speed to break away on long runs once he hits the second level. JayQuan finished his junior year with 68 carries for 446 yards and eight touchdowns in 12 games. He also finished this past season with five receptions for 51 yards. Crawford currently holds multiple Division I offers and I expect a lot of eyes to be on him as he takes on a new role in a new offense at Bullitt East for his senior year.

, a running back at Franklin County High School. Crawford and the Flyers are coming off a 37-29 victory over Bardstown last week. Crawford makes a huge impact with his size, explosiveness in the pocket and durable edge. Crawford can easily find openings to slip past the defense into the backfield. I also like how Crawford utilizes his speed to breakaway from defenders and take it all the way to the house.Access all of Prep Redzone

, a running back at Franklin County High School. Crawford’s ability to pick up speed in the pocket and stay on his feet under pressure has made a considerable offensive difference this season, proving his ability to escape the defense into the backfield and take it all the way to the house. Another aspect of Crawford’s playstyle that impresses is his ability to maneuver the field and break tackles, dodging and weaving the defense as he barrels into the endzone for the touchdown.Access all of Prep Redzone
