Peyton Duckwall Peyton Duckwall 6'0" | 170 lbs | QB Bullitt East | 2029 State KY is an athletic, accurate quarterback from Bullitt East High School. Duckwall has proven to be able to throw the ball into tight windows and over/around defenders looking to make a play on the ball. He’s also shown his dual-threat abilities and has shown maturity when directing option plays. When he does run with the ball, Duckwall holds the ball high and tight. He doesn’t dance around his defenders, but welcomes contact. Duckwall has an impressive pump fake and has, on more than one occasion, used it to catch a defender off guard while his receiver slips free. His release is unorthodox, but he can zip the football where it needs to go and lead his receiver perfectly anywhere on the field.

Duckwall is a promising young quarterback with a bunch of good traits to build around. He gets the ball out quickly, doesn’t panic when pressure gets in his face, and consistently puts the football where his receivers can make a play. I really like how comfortable he looks throwing on the move, especially rolling to his right. He already has a full season under his belt, and that experience should only help him going into year two. The game looked like it started slowing down for him as the season went on, and I’m interested to see what that next step looks like.

He saved his best for the biggest moment, leading a late drive and delivering the game-winning touchdown pass in the final seconds. Duckwall showed real poise when the pressure was highest and handled the moment like a quarterback who enjoys having the game in his hands, which earned him a Top Performer spot.
