My final defensive stock riser in the class of 2025 in the state of Kentucky is Jaylen Hayes Jaylen Hayes 6'0" | 230 lbs | LB/DL DuPont Manual | 2025 State KY . Hayes is coming off a strong junior year and has also been very impressive in the camp circuit this summer. Jaylen lines up mainly at inside linebacker where he is very impressive against the run. He does a great job of reading his keys quickly then flowing downhill in a hurry to get to the ball carrier and make the tackle. Hayes led his team with 84 tackles along with two tackles for loss in 12 games last season. He also finished the year with three sacks and two interceptions. Jaylen has also taken reps at defensive end in camps this summer where he could be used some this season. Hayes doesn’t currently hold any offers but I expect some to come his way soon as he has the talent to play at the next level.

Jaylen Hayes Jaylen Hayes 6'0" | 230 lbs | LB/DL DuPont Manual | 2025 State KY is a player who has been on my radar for a while now and is coming off a strong junior year. Hayes lines up at inside linebacker but has also shown the versatility to play on the defensive line as well. Jaylen is very reliable against the run, showing the ability to read his keys and come downhill in a hurry to make the tackle before the ball carrier can get going. As a junior, Hayes led his team with 56 tackles along with two tackles for loss in 12 games. He has also shown the ability to make plays against the pass, both in coverage and as a rusher. Hayes finished this past season with two interceptions and three sacks. Jaylen doesn’t currently hold any offers but he has received some college interest and is definitely a player to keep an eye on heading into his senior year.

Jaylen Hayes Jaylen Hayes 6'0" | 230 lbs | LB/DL DuPont Manual | 2025 State KY showed a ton of versatility on Saturday, being named as both a top five defensive lineman and top three linebacker. As a defensive lineman, he was very impressive in the 1v1 drills. He showed the ability to explode out of his stance and use his speed to blow by opposing offensive linemen. Hayes also showed impressive pass rush moves which he used to defeat blocks. Jaylen doesn’t currently hold any offers but he has received some college interest and has the talent to play at the next level.

Hayes lines up at middle linebacker where he is very impressive against the run. He does a great job of reading his keys and flowing downhill in a hurry and fighting through blocks on his way to the ball carrier. Once he gets to the ball carrier, Hayes is a very reliable open field tackler. Jaylen finished his junior year with a team-high 84 tackles along with two tackles for loss in 12 games. Hayes also proved to be reliable against the pass, both in coverage and as a rusher, finishing the year with two interceptions and three sacks. Jaylen doesn’t currently hold any offers but I expect some to come his way going into his senior year as he definitely has the talent to play somewhere at the next level.

I am additionally impressed with Jaylen Hayes Jaylen Hayes 6'0" | 230 lbs | LB/DL DuPont Manual | 2025 State KY , a linebacker at DuPont Manual High School. In addition to outstanding quickness and physicality, what stands out about Hayes is his ability to predict the pass and be disruptive with his ability to jump in front of the short throw at the last second. I also like how Hayes can be durable in the pocket and quickly get to the quarterback for the sack.

rnAnother prospect to keep an eye on is , an athlete at DuPont Manual High School. What stands out about Hayes is his ability to read the offense like a book and shut down the running game in the pocket. I also like Hayes due to his size and durability, proving he can blast past the offensive line and shut down the rush. Another aspect of Hayes that made an impact last season was his ability to adapt and catch the offense from along the edge, showcasing his stopping power and ability to make crucial stops when his team needed it most.
