‘s athleticism is high-caliber for his age, and he’s already using it to Prairie’s advantage, with the potential to become one of the most dangerous junior prospects to watch out for next season. Stumpff recorded 35.5 tackles (26 solo), 2.5 TFLs, 5 PBUs, and 1 INT returned for a TD in 2025. Putting to perspective with how impressive of an athlete Stumpff is, he ran a 4.5 40 yard time, posts a 38″ vertical jump, and squats 385 lb already. Stumpff showcases exceptional pass coverage skills, being able to react and break to the ball quickly on short passes, while also reacting instinctively to the run, limiting outside runs and QB scrambles behind the line. Stumpff has plenty of upside, and the ceiling for this kid will be extremely high going forward.

continues to impress as he takes on a bigger role for the Prairie Hawks. Jayden ended his sophomore campaign with 35.5 tackles and an interception returned for a touchdown. My biggest takeaway from watching Jayden’s sophomore tape was his elite playmaking ability, which is highlighted in the first two plays with a huge KO return for a touchdown and a pick-six. He is very instinctive in coverage and has confidence in his play recognition, breaking on the ball or jumping a route when he sees an opportunity to force a turnover or make a big play. Jayden also possesses the type of size and length that coaches will look for, standing at 6’3″ and 185 pounds with excellent length and room to continue filling out his frame at the next level. Stumpff’s physicality and competitiveness at the catch point ensure that there are no easy completions (or any) when throwing his way. High ceiling player who is only starting to scratch the surface.

Stumpff came onto the Prep Redzone radar with his performance as a middle-schooler a couple of years ago. He’s steadily grown physically with a game that’s matured as well. Stumpff stands out for his athleticism, as we can see when watching highlights on his Hudl page. With his size and speed, he’s a handful at the receiver position. Stumpff can rise up to high point the ball and take it away from the defender, or he can blast by the secondary. Stumpff is even more advanced as a defender. Through the Prairie Hawks’ first seven games this season, he’d registered 21.0 tackles, 15 of which were of the solo variety. He added 2.5 stops for lost yardage and returned kicks. With a frame still capable of filling out and adding strength, projecting a future position for Stumpff is difficult. It’s pretty easy picturing him developing into a difference maker somewhere on the next level, however.

Without question, Stumpff is the top class of 2028 Iowa prospect I’ve been able to evaluate thus far this 2023-2024 season. To be blunt, the future Prarie High School Hawk is a freaky athlete on both sides of the ball, can line up essentially anywhere on the field and would likely be the best player out there, regardless. At a muscular 6-foot and 160-pounds he has the ideal build for an ATH (athlete) at this point. In the film I’ve seen from his middle school season this year, defensively Stumpff plays middle linebacker in a 5-3-3 set, which allows him to flow freely to the ball and let his ability shine. Offensively he lines up in the backfield and he’s a stallion back there, with long and powerful strides carrying him to the end zone. On top of playing AAU basketball and being a Perfect Game Midwest All-Star on the gridiron, he’s also dominates the 7v7 for LevelUp–one of the top programs in the midwest. He has the potential to be a national recruit in the future.
