has posted outstanding results through his performance for the Hawks’ track team so far this year. His 47.77 second 400m dash time is ranked the 3rd highest across the entire state through the 2026 season. His performance in track have also helped him prevail as a deep threat for the Hawks’ offense, recording 27 receptions for 522 yards (19.3 YPC) and 4 TDs, while adding 2 return TDs (1 kick and 1 punt). His long strides when he runs covers so much ground, and he has just as much body control to make sharp cuts and change of direction on his routes, and many of the big plays generated by Bennis last season came with his speed and his ability to beat DBs both deep and after the catch. Bennis is an undeniable playmaker who is bound to receive a plethora of offers entering his senior season.

is a speed demon with excellent ball skills. A “screw it, he’s down there somewhere” and a weapon his QB can trust to catch the ball on a short route or a screen and take it to the house, Bennis a dual-threat pass-catcher that any FCS program in the Midwest would be glad they took a shot on.
This fall, he led Prairie in receiving yards, grabbing 27 catches for 522 yards and four touchdowns. Also a weapon in the return game, Bennis returned ten kicks for 300 yards and a touchdown, as well as ten punts for 202 yards and a score.

‘s favorite target through the air, but Bennis is as dangerous as the come in 5A as a returner.
He proved just that with his first punt return of the season, taking one back 90 yards for a touchdown in Prairie’s season-opening, 38-0 win over Linn-Mar. So far, 90 yards is the longest punt return for a score in all classes. One of just three punt returns so far this season, Bennis is averaging 41 yards per return. On kickoffs, he’s taken two back, and is averaging 30 yards per return.

lofted a ball to the opposite side of the field, where Coach Knock leaned over and said “watch this,” as the ball was in the air. Bennis proceeded to go up and make a spectacular grab over the defensive back. That was just one of Bennis’s fantastic catches, as he followed it up by nabbing a would-be interception from an opposing defensive back for a 40+ yard gain later that morning.
His skills as a receiver don’t stop there, either. He’s a sure-handed wideout that can grab an out-route, a catch over the middle or can take an end-around and make a play in the open field. Like Alexander, Bennis should be in line for a major uptick in production after grabbing 23 passes for 387 yards and three scores last season. He’ll also be a threat as a return man with his speed.

Bennis just dropped his sophomore highlight video last week. It’s an impressive collection of clips. An underclassman on a Prairie Hawk offense with a lot of weapons, Bennis caught 23 passes for 387 yards and three touchdowns in 2024. He’s a very well-rounded receiver, especially for his experience level. Bennis is effective lining up on the outside or in the slot. He runs clean routes and appears to have reliable hands. Bennis has a chance to take a big step forward this fall with more opportunities opening up following graduation losses at Prairie.
