Locke, who came to New York last summer from Georgia had an excellent season at Holy Trinity immediately stepping in and contributing. While Locke was deciding between multiple big-name schools last season he will end up only playing one season with Holy Trinity as he will move to Erasmus Hall for this upcoming season. Locke looks to be in-lane to help fill the hole of a couple of big graduations from the Erasmus Hall Secondary.

Another electric two-way player on this 7v7 team. Locke had a monster junior season at Holy Trinity. He quickly made a name for himself as one of the top defensive backs in all of New York after transferring in from Georgia. Locke shut down some of the best receivers and was one of the more entertaining players to watch on Long Island. For Long Island Verified Elite, he will also be playing a ton of receiver and that’s where you’ll see the ball skills. Locke can go up and come down with it at a high rate. He plays much bigger than he is and his route running has already improved a ton after seeing some of his spring 7v7 film. He’s shown a great release and creates separation with ease.

Easily one of the most talented defensive backs on Long Island. Locke was tested a lot this season and he was shutting down some amazing receivers. He had a breakout game against Archbishop Stepinac and he continued to dominate throughout the regular season. Despite being a little undersized, Locke played with a fearless mentality, as he made some big hits. He’s also a pure technician and had the ability to stay with any receiver he faced.

He wasn’t the biggest or the strongest cornerback in the pod, but mechanically he made an argument as easily one of the best. The mentality Locke brought was incredible, and even after losing a rep he easily bounced back and made the next play. Because of all the reps he took, Locke displayed that he has the ability to go against all types of receivers. He matched up well against quick and speedy receivers and also stopped the bigger receivers in the pod. Whichever high school Locke plays for will be getting a fierce competitor and a great athlete.

One of the more exciting stories from this offseason, Jayden Locke Jayden Locke 5'8" | 155 lbs | DB Erasmus Hall | 2025 State NY an ATH who has moved to New York from Georgia played terrific at this showcase. He was a lockdown defensive back. He displayed some of the best hip work and mechanics out of the defensive back group. He also made amazing plays on the ball. It didn’t matter how big Locke was, he was one of the more aggressive corners and had a big performance.
