An explosive 2029 campaign from Taylor has him ranked here as one of the best 2029 EDGE rushers in the class. Listed at 6’2 200, with room to get bigger. He should be viewed as a true speed rusher, using his blend of initial quickness and speed to immediately threaten tackles. He often arrives at QB before their drop is finished, breaking the play immediately. He is an urgent, hot-motor player who works hard to free himself. He is more than capable of pursuing the ball across the field, which he will need to do at 6’2.

Taylor is a breakout sophomore who is emerging as one of the most prolific pass rushers in GA. Listed around 6’2 200, Taylor hides his weight and has plenty of room to get bigger. Taylor is quick off the snap, and that short area burst translates to the rest of his game. Everything he does is quick, including his hands. He plays hard at the point of attack and works hard to shed blocks. There is a lot to like here, especially when you factor in his young age.

Jaycob Taylor Jaycob Taylor 6'1" | 180 lbs | EDGE McDonough | 2029 State GA was awesome with his high school program in 2025, as he led the state in his class in sacks with 5.5 on the season. He is going to be even better this season, as the only thing that would hold him back is an injury, which we should all hope doesn’t happen. He is a freak and is developing into a monster off the edge. His bag of pass-rushing moves will only get better, and will only improve when he is going up against talented offensive linemen. The sky is the limit for Taylor, and he will be worth keeping an eye on.
