Expert Analysis
Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
An under-the-radar linebacker south of Atlanta who was added to the latest 2028 rankings update, Moore Jr. might be undersized at 5-foot-10 180-pounds, but he plays hard, shows strong instincts against the run, and was one of the state’s most productive linebackers last year in the 2028 class. A tackling machine last fall as a sophomore, the McDonough defender made an eye-opening 164 total tackles with 10 TFLs, three sacks, three pass-breakups, and one INT. He consistently puts himself in a position to make a play and his max-effort style should allow him to have an even bigger junior season in the fall.

The speedy, instinctive defender doesn’t miss many tackles and chased down the ball-carrier all season long. Moore was all over the field and opened a lot of eyes last season when he made 139 total tackles, 16 TFLs and three sacks. He closes quickly wraps up properly, and should not be flying under the radar for very long. He doesn’t have ideal measurables, but his instincts and toughness could allow him to see dome D1 interest and offers come his way down the road. Look for this playmaking linebacker to have another terrific season as a junior in 2026.
