Expert Analysis
Mark Johnson | Prep Redzone Scout
Jay wasn’t able to get involved much in this game, but the senior WR is one of the top steals at his position and overall in WI. He is now listed at 6’3″ 210 lbs and the kid has rare length for the position. His arm span is massive, providing a huge catch radius for his QB to target. Even at his size, the senior is a smooth athlete who easily accelerates and can quickly stack his CB on deep routes with the speed he has. It’s time to extend this kid some more offers. His natural gifts are hard to find.

. The WR prospect is also a standout on the basketball court and has the talent to play either at the next level. On the gridiron, Jay holds an offer from Central Michigan and has interest from several other top programs in the region.
On tape, Jay is a big WR at 6’2″ 195 lbs and sets himself apart from other big WRs with an impressive burst of acceleration off the line. That burst eats up cushion and puts pressure on CBs playing off coverage. Jay has the long speed to stack corners and track the ball downfield on deep passes. The basketball background shows up as he perfectly times his high pointing of the ball. Jay has really good instincts and awareness against zone and when plays breakdown as he always finds the soft spots in coverage for his QB to have an easy target. More teams need to check out the talented WR.

Stats: 5 Receptions, 124 Yards, 1 TDrnIt is quick film, but Jay needs to be in the spotlight. The junior is going to be one of the top risers in the Class of 2025 during our next rankings update. He has a long frame, and his tape shows that he has the speed to stretch the field. The big play creator does a good job of adjusting to the ball, and going to get it. The junior is able to run his routes and make catches through contact. Jay has been a key piece to Stoughton’s deep postseason run.
