Another talented lineman that is going to really impress this summer is DJ Jones DJ Jones 6'5" | 260 lbs | OL/DL Stoughton | 2028 State WI of Stoughton. DJ played both sides of the ball this past fall and at 6’5″ 260 lbs he has the size to commit to either side of the ball at the next level. I believe he is at his best at OL where he can utilize that elite length to instantly get hands on and control his man. DJ also possesses that special burst and quickness off the snap to be able to attack his man so he can always win that body positioning battle. DJ also has the flexibility to win the leverage battle despite towering over most of his opponents. The athletic skill set and raw power within DJ’s frame is going to set him up to be an impressive recruit this summer.

Looking to the Class of 2028, Stoughton’s DJ Jones DJ Jones 6'5" | 260 lbs | OL/DL Stoughton | 2028 State WI is the cream of the crop for Madison area OL. He has the elite traits that have him on the path towards being a D1 recruit. First off, the OT is 6’5″ 260 lbs and has extremely long arms. So he easily looks the part of a top tier OT talent. Then you turn on the tape and you see the naturally dominant strength. Strength that is boosted by his flexiblity/leverage combination. It is not easy for a kid DJ’s size to be able to play with low pad level while still being mobile and agile and powerful. DJ can do that and do it very effectively. I can’t wait to watch him this fall and show that he is working his way towards competing for that top OL ranking.

Not many athletes can carry 260 lbs and make it look as easy as DJ can. His 6’5″ frame looks like it has the space to get up near 300 lbs when he gets to the next level. Right now he is an extremely long and athletic two-way lineman. Don’t let the long and lanky build fool you. DJ is a man mover in the run game. He is powerful and does well to keep his pad level low coming off the line. That leverage, his long arms, and lower body power allow him to reset the line of scrimmage and move his man 5+ yards downfield. On the other side of the ball DJ really shows off his quickness. It is impressive watching how difficult it is for OL to land a square block on the big man because he is so quick through gaps and can get skinny to slip around OL. DJ’s potential is sky high. Tune into his highlights.
