Expert Analysis
Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
One of the top defenders across Forsyth County this past season, McCallar was an impressive linebacker who earned his new ranking in the 2025 class. A quick, instinctive defender who can play multiple linebacker positions, McCallar brings above-average athleticism and was as productive as any linebacker in the area. The West Forsyth standout made 124 tackles, 20 TFLs and nine sacks to go along with two forced fumbles. He ended his West Forsyth career on a high note, leading them to a deep playoff run in his final season. Now, he’s ranked by Prep Redzone as the No. 340 overall prospect in the state.

McCallar has had an impressive start to his Senior year. He has shown that he is not only a defensive standout but can contribute on the offensive side of the ball as well.
The 5’10 180 MLB’s 60TT lead the Wolverines and he has added an impressive 13 TFL though 6 games. Was named County Defensive Player of the Week earlier in September in a win over Parkview. He had 12 TT 4 TFL forced a fumble and intercepted a pass in the 45-21 win.
He added a receiving TD to his accolades last week with a 43 yard reception against Forsyth Central. A hard nosed, hard working kid that gets rave reviews from his coaches. Team leader on and off the field with high academics.
