We got to see 2027 Parkersburg South RB/ATH James Lattea James Lattea 5'10" | 165 lbs | RB Parkersburg South | 2027 State WV in person this summer, where he impressed us. He’s another athlete who will be utilized in their backfield but will likely make his biggest impact at safety this season.

Here’s what we recently said about Lattea in our 2027 Rankings New Additions article:

“2027 Parkersburg RB/ATH  James Lattea James Lattea 5'10" | 165 lbs | RB Parkersburg South | 2027 State WV  was a top performer at our Combine Series camp earlier this year and is primed for a breakout season for the Patriots as a junior. We’ve primarily seen Lattea at linebacker to date, but expect him to be a top option in the backfield this fall with an opening at running back. He’s a versatile athlete with raw athleticism to utilize, which should allow Lattea to produce at a high level at running back. Once we get some film of him at that position, he has the potential to climb much higher in the rankings.”
