James Briscoe James Briscoe 6'0" | 170 lbs | DB Atherton | 2026 State KY is another member of the Atherton secondary who has stood out to me. He lines up on the outside at corner where he is very impressive in coverage. Briscoe played in mainly zone coverage last season and was very effective, showing the ability to read route combinations and put himself in a position to make a play. When the ball is thrown his way, he breaks with perfect timing to make a play on the football, finishing last season with a team-high four interceptions, returning one of them for a touchdown. He also finished his junior year with 42 tackles and one tackle for loss, and made an impact on offense, catching nine passes for 228 yards and three touchdowns. Briscoe currently holds offers from Western Illinois, Austin Peay State, UT-Martin, and Eastern Kentucky, and I expect more to come his way this season.
