Meads lined up at defensive tackle where he was very effective against the run. He does a great job of reading the play then using his strength to stack/shed blocks quickly. After shedding the block, he has shown the speed to get to the ball carrier in a hurry to make the tackle before they can get going. Meads finished his junior year with a team-leading 72 tackles and 17 tackles for loss in 14 games. He also recorded nine sacks this season. Zai’Vion currently holds multiple Power 4 offers and I expect more to come his way going into his senior year.

He has also shown the strength to bull rush straight through opposing offensive linemen as a pass rusher. Meads has recorded three sacks as a junior. Zai’Vion currently holds several Power 4/Division I offers and I expect that list to continue to grow over the next two seasons.

He had also shown the ability to rush the passer, finishing last season with five sacks. He does a great job of reading the play then fighting through blocks and using his speed to get to the ball carrier before they can get going. Once he gets to the ball carrier, he is a very reliable tackler. Zai’Vion finished this past season with 56 tackles in 13 games. He also showed the ability to put pressure on the quarterback, finishing the year with two sacks. Meads doesn’t currently hold any offers but he is a player who should be a on the radar of college coaches heading into his junior year.
