About JaMario
Expert Analysis
Connor Jackson | Prep Redzone Scout
Yadao is a smaller, but active and productive DB, both as a tackler and against the ball. He is now listed at around 5’11 160, and has plenty of space to fill out and add more mass. As I mentioned, this kid is all over the field. He plays with controlled aggression and is a tone-setter. He has the speed and movement skills to play in space and carry routes vertically, but he really flashes coming downhill. He closes space in a hurry and explodes through contact. Just an energetic defender who should find a home at the D1 level as a nickel, where he can consistently be around the ball.

Big-time players deliver in big-time games, and Yadeo was the heartbeat of his defense in Week 5. His instincts are elite — diagnosing plays at a high rate and pursuing with bad intentions. Physical as a tackler, he doesn’t shy from contact and showed his range by blowing up screens and swing passes before they had a chance to develop. A true tone-setter, Yadeo is a name to watch for.

JaMario is a quarterback coming out of the highly sought after state of Alabama that people need to start paying attention too. He started waking some folks up after being called up to the Clay-Chalkville varsity team as an eighth-grader and getting some playing time, as the team pushed towards the playoffs. Unfortunately the defending State Champions couldn’t repeat this year, but he gained invaluable experience. After reviewing some of his tape, it is clear that JaMario already has the tools to perform at a high level. One of the biggest things that stuck out when watch his tape was his throwing motion. JaMario has a very smooth throwing motion that allows him to deliver accurate passes to his targets. Along with his throwing motion, the steps that he takes in the pocket allow him to stay on time and work through his progression quickly and effectively. Overall, it is clear that JaMario is one of the better quarterbacks in the class, and I am excited to see where he goes over the next four years and beyond.

Any time an eighth-grader gets called up to the varsity squad, it’s something to take note of. Now digest the fact that Yadao was called up to the varsity team of the defending 6A State Champion Clay-Chalkville High School, for the playoff run. The Cougars unfortunately bowed out in the state playoffs for this year, but the dangerous 5-foot-9 righty is a prospect to get familiar with.
