McIntyre brings a rare blend of high-level athleticism and raw power for his size, with tremendous quick twitch and short-area burst that consistently put offensive linemen on their heels. His initial strike is violent and authoritative, often winning the rep immediately by knocking blockers backward and forcing them into recovery mode. That explosiveness shows up most clearly in what is arguably the best bull rush in the state, where he routinely converts speed to power and collapses the pocket.
What separates McIntyre from being a one-dimensional power player is his functional versatility. He has the size and strength to be an effective interior rusher, shooting gaps and compressing pockets, while also showing the discipline and physicality to anchor the edge against the run, consistently keeping his outside shoulder free and maintaining containment. With grown-man strength, the ability to handle double teams, and a pass-rush profile that translates inside or out, McIntyre projects as a trench cornerstone with real next-level upside.

McIntyre is a certified stepper/ playmaker in the trenches. He’s rugged, powerful, and refuses to be blocked. With arguably the best bull rush in the state he generates displacement with a mean initial strikes and the leg drive to walk tackles back into the pocket.
Poor pad level gets will always be exposed against McIntyre and even double-teams struggle to stall his motor. He converts speed to power, sheds blocks, and can be effective as a run stopper. Another facet to his game is his finishes in space-showing surprising agility and burst. McIntyre is a name to keep an eye on as the recruiting cycle matures and could be a power 5 type of guy.

McInytre has been on a tear this season, and currently is one of the top sack leaders in the state. I’ve been seriously impressed with his play this season. Thompson will have to find a way to slow him down; he’s a relentless pass rusher.
