Jake Broggi was an athletic linebacker that I think has the versatility to play both inside and outside the box. Hailing from Wellesley, MA, Broggi showed that he can move well in all directions. My initial instinct was to label him a box linebacker due to how quickly he got to his spots, but my opinion quickly changed. Broggi showed that he can cover ground well enough to bounce between the second-level positions. Lastly, I thought he had very good hips for a linebacker.

Jake was named a Bay State Conference All-Star due to his strong sophomore season. He accounted for over 70 tackles and 3 sacks.
The first thing that stands out to me in Jake’s film is the way he plays. He plays fast with great effort and intensity. Jake is a very good athlete with a solid combination of speed and quickness. Jake shows good football instincts and has a knack for making big plays. This is a big off-season for Jake to add some size and strength to his skill set.

Jake has fast feet and can get to the ball quickly on defense. On offense, he shows a good burst and initiates contact. I will be interested to he how he looks after a productive off season, but he is off to a good start.

“Broggi” is a 6’0″ – 180lbs athlete attending Wellesley High School in Massachusetts.
His name surfaced to our attention early September 2023 by area coaches. He is a young prospect who earned varsity time as a freshman and surely made the most of his opportunity at the varsity level this season. He played in 11 games during the 2023 season. While being positioned and starting at linebacker this season, he had 70 total tackles, 7 sacks, 12 tackles for losses, 3 interceptions, 2 touchdowns and 2 fumble recoveries.
A review of his season film was a pleasure to see. His film just pops and is what college coaches like to see in a young prospect. The freshman linebacker has a very good frame to work with and easily can see his physical presence and aggression. He doesn’t hesitate and will strike through any ball carrier. His instincts are solid along with the ability to see the play happen before it does and make a play. He is far advanced in reactionary skills for his age. The recruiting factors I see to his value are he reads and reacts quickly, has obvious strength at POA, has Very good balance and ankle flexibility, has an obvious burst with quickness and speed, and has high strength and leverage used in his techniques.
His current (height & weight) align with Low Div-1 FCS / High D-2/High NAIA college-level linebackers. He has plenty of time for additional growth and development.

Had a chance to view his varsity game highlights from a game Sept 15, 2023. He was positioned as an edge defender and showed obvious quickness while he pressured the QB. He stood out on special teams and made a couple of very good open-field tackles that showed his ability and desire to strike through defenders.
