Breyfogle has been among the Raiders’ top tacklers for the last three seasons. Through six games of 2025, the senior had contributed a team-high 46.5 stops with 27 of them being solo. He also piled up 10.5 tackles for loss, a sack and an interception. Film from his first three games of the campaign reveal a downhill linebacker that hits gaps and running backs hard in the hole. The physicality oozes through on the clips. His height and long arms help him in coverage as does his speed and agility. Breyfogle’s wrestling talents aid him on the gridiron, where he operates with leverage and smooth feet. With a projectable frame capable of adding good weight and strength, Breyfogle has plenty of room to grow and develop before reaching his ceiling.

has the makings of a sturdy leader in the middle of the defense. Breyfogle finished last season with 59 tackles, 7 TFLs, and a sack. I was really impressed with how explosive Breyfogle was at the point of contact, seeming to lurk toward the ball-carriers before charging them within 2-3 yards and jarring them to the ground. Breyfogle has a good read step, playing with a steady base, and drives back ball-carriers with his lower body. Breyfogle has the potential to becoming a great MLB in the collegiate level, and a strong senior campaign could really help solidify that notion.
Breyfogle produced at a high level for the Black Raiders last season. The junior piled up 59.0 tackles (33 solo, 7.0 TFL) and a sack. When we pop on his 11th-grade highlight video, he illustrates how he came about his statistics. Breyfogle recognizes what the opposition is running quickly if he doesn’t figure it out pre-snap. It allows him to fly to the football. Breyfogle embraces the game’s physicality. His clips also include him standing out on special teams, an added bonus with colleges having reduced roster sizes.
Breyfogle is an imposing defender, standing at 6-foot-2 and 205 pounds; he possesses the size and speed combination needed for the linebacker position. He’s extremely explosive when firing downhill, quickly meeting the running back in the hole. Breyfogle is also an explosive and technical tackler, lowering his shoulder and wrapping up ball carriers. He has a great get-off when he’s blitzing off the edge, immediately putting offensive linemen in conflict with his impressive pass rush. Breyfogle is strong in coverage, understanding where his landmark is and holding his zone while reading the quarterback’s eyes and reacting to the play. Once he sees it, Breyfogle fires on the receiver, breaking up passes by playing the hands of the pass catcher.
