Expert Analysis
Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
A playmaking EDGE defender in Atlanta who plays hard and knows how to wrap up the ball-carrier in the backfield, Wilson is quick of the snap and brings plenty of size and power to the Woodward defensive line. At 6-foot-3 230-pounds, Wilson one one of the bigger and more productive EDGE defenders returning for next season. Wilson is now ranked as the No. 17 EDGE defender in Georgia for the 2027 class after a strong junior season where he made 36 tackles, 19 TFLs and 10 sacks. He shows easy D1-caliber talent and will be tough to block next fall as a senior. With a big off-season, look for Wilson’s stock to only rise more and more over time.

A max-effort defender in Atlanta who showed last fall he can absolutely play at the next level, Wilson is a big 6-foot-3 230-pound edge defender with length, quickness, and a really impressive motor. He fires off the ball quickly and lived in the backfield all year long for a talented Woodward Academy defense. One of the more productive 2027 defenders in the city, Wilson made 36 tackles, 19 TFLs and 10 sacks to go along with 15 more quarterback pressures. He was a consistently active defender who should be really tough to stop as a senior next fall.
