To round out our top five defensive linemen in the class of 2024 in the state of Kentucky, I have Isaiah Hare Isaiah Hare 6'2" | 275 lbs | DL Bullitt East | 2024 State KY . Hare played a key role in Bullitt East’s 6A State Championship run this past season, finishing with 74 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, and four sacks. Isaiah  lines up at defensive end where he is a very skilled pass rusher. He has an explosive first step and the speed to blow by opposing offensive tackles off the edge. Once he gets the quarterback, Hare does a great job of exploding through contact to secure the sack. Hare is also a very reliable defender against the run. He does a great job of reading the play and running all over the field to make tackles. Isaiah currently holds offers from Butler, Indianapolis, Wofford, Grand Valley State, Valparaiso, McKendree, Thomas More, Central Missouri, Bethel (TN), and Eastern Illinois, and I expect more to come his way as he is a Division I caliber defensive end prospect.

Earning MVP honors as the top defensive lineman, Hare was also the best defensive performer from the entire camp as he was almost unblockable and proving that he is more than worthy to be looked at by Division 1 football programs. Football smart with a variety of pass rush maneuvers, Hare dominated during 1 on 1’s where he used his hands, quick feet and high FBI to get in and around his blocker on a consistent basis. He tested quite well, placing among the top in almost every category for his position. Hare has the body style and skill set to play multiple roles across the defensive front due to his athleticism, strength and natural feel for getting to the backfield. If the Showcase handed out an overall MVP award for this camp, Hare might be that guy and I think his stock will only continue to rise over the coming weeks.

The junior defensive end played a huge role in Bullitt East’s 6A State Championship run. Hare finished the playoffs with 27 total tackles, four tackles for loss, one sack, one forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. As a pass rusher, Hare has shown the ability to use his speed to blow by opposing offensive tackles before they have much of a chance to block him. Once he gets to the quarterback, Hare makes his presence felt as he explodes through contact and finishes with a ton of physicality. Hare is also very reliable against the run, showing the ability to read the play and run sideline to sideline to make tackles in the open field. Isaiah doesn’t currently hold any offers but I expect some to come his way going into his senior year as he has been receiving a nice amount of college interest and has the talent to play at the next level.

He finished his junior regular season with 47 total tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, and three sacks. Hare lines up at defensive end and uses his speed to blow by opposing offensive tackles as a pass rusher. Once he gets to the quarterback, Hare is a physical finisher that makes sure his presence is felt with every hit. Against the run, Hare shows the ability to read the play and take the right angle to get to the football to make the tackle in the open field. While Hare doesn’t currently hold any offers, I expect some to come his way going into his senior year as he has received a lot of college interest and has the skill set needed to play at the next level.
