Coming in at number five on my list is Hunter Holloway Hunter Holloway 6'5" | 185 lbs | QB IMG Academy | 2030 KY , an athlete at Logan County High School. In addition to outstanding height and wingspan, Holloway stands out with his deceptive footwork on the run. I like how Holloway can juke out the defense and escape the defense in the pocket. I’m also intrigued by Holloway’s ability to haul in the short pass and pick up yardage from along the edge.

I also like Holloway’s ability to be durable under pressure, proving he can break tackles on the run.

In addition to great size, what impressed me about Holloway was his quick execution as well as his ability to be versatile during positional drills. I liked watching Holloway in coverage due to his ability to stun his opponent with his physicality. I also liked how Holloway could elevate off the ground to get to the ball.

Another defensive back that had a very impressive sophomore season is Logan County’s Hunter Holloway Hunter Holloway 6'0" | 155 lbs | DB Logan County | 2025 State KY . Holloway finished this past season with 59 tackles, one tackle for loss, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and six interceptions. He lines up at safety and is a true ball hawk in pass coverage. Holloway does a great job of reading the quarterback and breaking on the ball with perfect timing to make a play. He also plays with a ton of physicality, showing the ability to knock the ball loose from intended receivers. Against the run, Holloway takes good angles to the ball and is a very reliable tackler in the open field. Hunter doesn’t currently hold any offers but he should definitely be on the radar of college coaches as he has the talent to play somewhere at the next level.

He finished the regular season with 50 tackles, one tackle for loss, and four interceptions. Holloway lined up at safety and did a great job of reading the play from the back end. He was able to read the quarterback and route combinations and put himself in a position to make plays on the ball. Holloway is also very physical, showing the ability to come downhill and lay hits to jar the ball loose when the ball was thrown short. Against the run, Holloway takes great angles to the ball and is a very reliable tackler in the open field. Hunter doesn’t currently hold any offers but will be a player to watch over the next couple seasons.
