Although there are many talented names set to show off this weekend, here’s five playmakers from Kentucky I’m eager to catch in action.
At the top of my list of notable standouts is Deuce Bailey Deuce Bailey 6’1″ | 170 lbs | QB Bowling Green | 2025 State KY , a quarterback at Bowling Green High School. I anticipate quick execution and a lot of accuracy in the air from Bailey this upcoming weekend. In addition to his quick release and ability to efficiently scan the field for open receivers, Bailey’s ability to calculate his passes when his receivers are locked down in the endzone also stands out.

I am additionally impressed with Trevy Barber Trevy Barber 5’9″ | 155 lbs | WR Bowling Green | 2026 State KY , a wide receiver at Bowling Green High School. Barber may prove to be a challenge to contain in the endzone as his physical edge and versatility makes him a challenge to contain for the defense. I also like Barber’s great breakaway speed as well as his strong catching ability, proving he can beat defenders to the ball by elevating off the ground to attack the pass in the air.

Another skilled prospect to watch for is Dakota Hunter Dakota Hunter 6’1″ | 175 lbs | TE Warren Central | 2026 State KY , a tight end at Warren Central High School. What impresses about Hunter is his ability to blast into the backfield, creating solid seperation. I also like Hunter’s ability to get in prime position for the deep pass, utilizing his catching ability to march into the endzone. Hunter’s ability to escape coverage to get open for the short pass also stands out.

Coming in at number five on my list is Hunter Holloway Hunter Holloway 6’0″ | 145 lbs | QB KY , an athlete at Logan County High School. In addition to outstanding height and wingspan, Holloway stands out with his deceptive footwork on the run. I like how Holloway can juke out the defense and escape the defense in the pocket. I’m also intrigued by Holloway’s ability to haul in the short pass and pick up yardage from along the edge.
Also worth mentioning is Kohnner Trent Kohnner Trent 6’1″ | 160 lbs | ATH Hart County | 2025 KY , an athlete at Hart County High School. Trent impresses me with his electric speed off the snap and his ability to create excellent seperation from along the edge. I also like Trent’s ability to bully the defense in coverage, proving he can quickly get open for the pass despite heavy contact. Defensively, Trent stands out with his ability to adapt and make stops.
