Expert Analysis
Caleb Holfoth | Prep Redzone Scout
Djeumeni Kemeni is a really talented back who gets to run behind a massive Tabor Academy offensive line, but it is his vision and athleticism that shine on tape. The Yale commit runs with a great motor and the classic look with no extra gloves or armbands. I love what he brings to the table as a prospect, he checks the size box, speed is there on tape, and does a great job finding and attacking open space as a runner.

Hugo was unstoppable all afternoon as St. Marks gave their best effort in a drenched game. Hugo rained down yards and TD’s until well into the second half in a early season rout.

Hugo Junior Djeumeni Kemeni grabbed the attention of many college coaches during his show day. Once the drill period began, many coaches flocked to where they could get an up-close view of his skills. He displayed a rare glimpse of power, speed, and balance that translates to being able to pull away from defenders in the open field. He has exceptional lower and upper body strength which includes the high ability to catch the ball out of the backfield.rn

Hugo has quick feet and a great burst to the LOS. He uses his jump cut to shift into running lanes, and can drag defenders on the way to first downs. He has great lower body strength and can break tackles on the edge or in the secondary. A very talented back, Hugo is expected to continue to get a lot of attention from the NCAA.
Late night blessing⭐️After a conversation with @Coach_Aurich I’m honoured to have received an offer from Havard‼️#ridethewave@CoachJeffMoore @coach_ericpar @Gcovey @jcplante67 pic.x.com/pCl3Jn7fTw

Tabor Academy|2025|RB|6’0|190What we know: Saw him in live game action on November 4, 2023. A Canada transfer and new to New England this season. He runs with both power, speed, and balance and can pull away from second-level defenders easily. Displays exceptional lower and upper body strength. Has some length, and is put together well. Has a thicker lower body frame with obvious growth potential. Has very good fluid movement patterns, loose hips, balance and body control, elusiveness, and foot quickness. Shows the ability to keep the ball high and tight, and isn’t reckless when running with it.
Has an obvious explosive burst and acceleration!!! Can split defenders by “changing gears.” His power and ability to run behind pads is solid. Good leverage, lower center of gravity, ability to break tackles at LOS, ability to break tackles in open field, power through first contact (Yards After Contact).
Has a good process to LOS with the ability to one-cut and get vertical. He anticipates well, and sets up blocks, with the ability to process vision quickly. Shows a desire to be physical as a runner, physical in pass protection, and willing to block without the ball.
Has good ball skills. Can frame and pluck the ball naturally, has effective route running ability (make cuts in space without the ball), field awareness, willing to contribute in the passing game. His mesuarbales align with Division 1 FBS Power 5 Running backs.

Hugo Djeumeni This young man is easily on track to be ranked amongst the top RB’s in New England in the class of 2025. A transfer from Canada, he burst on the New England football scene this fall with repeated strong performances each week in his first five games of the season. He amassed 1032 yds, 106 carries, 12 TDs, and 13 rec 226yds 4 td in 5 games within a highly competitive NEPSAC level of play. A New England Prep Redzone projected future Div 1 athlete that has performed so well through regular season play, it earned him an in season offer from University of Massachusetts.
I look forward to viewing his film at the end of the season and having him properly placed within our rankings for the class of 2025.
