Grady Reynolds Grady Reynolds 6'5" | 215 lbs | TE Ryle | 2024 State KY is a tight end that caught my attention last season and has continued to impress in 2023. Reynolds has played a key role in the Ryle passing game, finishing the regular season with 41 receptions for 588 yards and three touchdowns. He has shown the ability to line up all over the formation , whether it be as a true tight end, H-Back, or slot receiver. In the passing game, Reynolds is a skilled route runner that has shown the ability to run a full route tree and create separation with smooth breaks in his routes. He is also dangerous after the catch, showing the speed to get up the field and toughness to break tackles to pick up extra yards. Reynolds is also a very reliable blocker, showing the ability to wall off defenders and drive them out of the picture to create a running lane for the ball carrier. Grady currently holds an offer from Bucknell and I expect more to come his way as he has the talent to be a very productive tight end at the next level.

Reynolds put together the most impactful defensive performance of his prep career–and capped it off with a game-winning touchdown reception offensively–in his Raiders’ huge 24-21 win over district foe Simon Kenton. Aligning primarily as an inside linebacker in a 4-4 defensive set, he collected 12 solo tackles, 7 assists, 4 tackles for loss and 2 sacks in securing for Ryle the district title and home-field advantage in the playoffs. A full-time offensive starter as an inside/slot receiver in a variety of 2-by-2 and 3-by-1 spread formations, he also has hauled in 38 receptions for 542 yards and 2 scores, and his 60.2 receiving yards per game average currently ranks him 14th among Class AAAAAA receivers. Now totaling 30 solos, 27 assists, 4 tackles for loss and 2 sacks for the season, he also ranks 50th among all Class AAAAAA defenders with an average of 6.3 stops per game. Now 5-4, Ryle will close out its regular season at Dixie Heights this week before hosting Louisville Eastern in the first round of next week’s Class AAAAAA playoffs.
