Expert Analysis
Sam Erman | Prep Redzone Scout
Collins is a good coverage corner who looks comfortable being left on an island all game. He stays level-headed, doesn’t get rattled, and treats every snap like it’s its own play. I like that he doesn’t panic after giving up a catch or try to force something that isn’t there. He can come up and tackle, isn’t afraid to help in the run game, and does a nice job finishing in space. He put up 50 tackles, 7 PBUs, 2 interceptions, 3 tfls, and 1 forced fumble in year 3. He’s the type of corner you can trust to handle his assignment without needing a lot of help over the top.

Collins shows good instincts and vision, especially working in zone coverage. He does a nice job reading the quarterback’s eyes and breaking on the ball, with the ability to come off his assignment and make a play. He has a good change of direction, which helps him stay in phase and react quickly. He finished with 50 tackles, 7 PBUs, 3 TFLs, 3 interceptions, and 1 forced fumble. I like the awareness and ball production, and he’s a player who consistently puts himself in position to make plays.
